About the Role
The Wave Planner supports 3PL warehouse operations by managing and prioritizing customer orders to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely fulfillment. Using WMS/ERP systems and collaborative planning tools, this role helps optimize daily warehouse workflows and improve operational efficiency. You’ll work closely with warehouse leadership to balance workloads, monitor order progress, and address any issues that could impact service levels. The position also includes limited interaction with customers regarding order status and priorities.

Key Responsibilities
- Release customer orders into the WMS/ERP system in planned waves/batches based on shipping deadlines, priorities, and warehouse capacity
- Coordinate daily and weekly work priorities with warehouse operations leadership in alignment with senior leadership goals
- Monitor order status, aged order progress, and backlog to ensure timely fulfillment
- Adjust wave plans as needed to address labor constraints, system issues, or urgent customer service level agreements
- Provide basic support to customer service or customers regarding order status, allocations, or ship dates
- Identify and escalate potential issues that could impact service levels or productivity
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to planning, workflow, and system usage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain environment preferred
- Experience working with a WMS and/or ERP system strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with Business Intelligence/Data Analytics tools preferred
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse teams and leadership
Physical & Work Environment
- On-site role in a hybrid warehouse/office setting
- May require extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking
- Minor exposure to warehouse noise and activity
